My mom has been in RGH on floor 5100 for 12 days now and had many different nurses. Abby Richardson has been her nurse on several occasions and, by far, stands out above the rest! Abby always speaks with a sweet, kind, tender, and encouraging voice to my mother. Abby always takes extra time to make sure I know exactly what is going on with my mom since my mom has been suffering from hospital delirium, and it took a long time to diagnose her symptoms. Abby isn't always my mom's nurse, but she still checks on her and me! Abby has given me hugs, words of encouragement, and advocated for me and my mom, all while not assigned to my mom! I feel safe with a woman like Abby treating my mom! I thought my mom was going to die earlier last week! Abby wasn't assigned to my mom at that time, but she was the one answering my questions! We just moved back to Rochester after living in NC for 20 years and have had a hard time finding quality health care in NY! She exhibits so much grace, compassion, and tenderness! The world needs more nurses like Abby!
