Katy stands strong in advocating for her patients and families while lending heartfelt compassion.
When one imagines the face, philosophy, heart and skill of hospice, without a doubt Katherine Eulette is our Poster Nurse. When there is a complicated, challenging, and unique case, requiring proven experience, excellent results in patient care and satisfaction, “Katy” is always equipped, lending the personal touch that our patients deserve. Katy has been dedicated with her service to the VNA for many years. Within that time, she has been instrumental in unifying our team and being the last-step in the finishing process in precepting our new nurses. We affectionately refer to Katy as “Momma Bear” when training our cubs. The same protective, gentle, and careful kindness Katy shows to all of our patients, is the same attitude she embraces nurses with, whether they are new or familiar to our organization.
Our West Orange Branch is indebted to Katy for her committed services to our Pediatric population, Katy affords the VNA to stand alone in the amazing quality of care she provides to patients from birth to advanced age. Katy stands strong in advocating for her patients and families while lending heartfelt compassion. Our patients are touched by Katy, in every geographic and demographic that we cover, having Katy on our team has allowed VNA to provide a level of care other agencies can only fall short on. Our entire team is honored and privileged to have a Hospice Nurse and a wonderful human being as that of Katy Eulette, she is our garden of Daisies!
Please read a short excerpt from a wonderful letter of gratitude we received from a family member. “Every member of my mother's community who met Katie felt similar affection and respect for her as a nurse. Family and friends who helped support my mother during her time in hospice felt fortunate to have Katie as a member of our care team. Even people visiting my mother who only had occasion to cross paths with Katie once would still remark that she seemed great - a great nurse, a great advocate, a great person. If there is ever any form of professional reference that would be helpful in supporting Katie's career - award, raise, other accolade - please do not hesitate to reach out. Until then, Katie will continue to have our heartfelt thanks.”
