My 11-year-old daughter had ENT surgery at UPMC Mercy. Liz was her pre-op nurse. Liz went above and beyond to explain everything to us. She took time, not just talking to me and asking me questions, but taking time to include my daughter and develop a relationship with her. This helped to ease my daughter's fears and apprehensions about the upcoming surgery. As her mom, this made me feel better, as I was trying to hide my fears from my daughter. Liz provided me with a sigh of relief, and we felt so much better. She provided all the necessary information and extra tips that would be helpful to navigate our day at the surgical center. I could tell she really cared about the quality of care she provided and our overall patient experience. I’m so grateful that she took the time to provide excellent care for my daughter.
