Krystal Palmisano is a compassionate, dedicated and highly skilled nurse. My 19 month old daughter was rushed to the hospital on Sunday. My husband walked into the ER with my daughter in his arms and was met by Krystal. She had just had a seizure, and we were so scared. She immediately jumped into action and set up the necessary safety equipment, took my daughter's temperature, which was 104, and immediately got an accurate weight to ensure a safe, effective dose for antipyretics. She was quick to get her the medication she needed and stayed calm and reassuring to us the whole time. She explained everything she was doing and made sure my daughter received exceptional care. She rounded on us very often and made sure to check in to update us on where everything was at. As an employee in the RWJBH system, I was so proud of the excellent care that was delivered! It was as if we all worked at the same hospital. I was impressed by her ability to provide excellent care to my daughter and my whole family during this time. It was a really stressful situation, and I felt so comfortable. Every patient she cares for is so lucky to have her! She is an asset to the Emergency Department! People like her are exactly what people in emergency situations need and deserve! She is the absolute best! I will be forever grateful to her and the best care she delivered to my daughter!
