I’m very thankful for Nadine being my guardian angel during this difficult time.
Nadine bent over backward to help me. She was confident and comforting, as well as attentive to detail. During my stay at Union Memorial, I was admitted to the ER for intense vomiting, chills, abdominal pain, and COVID.  My experience in the ER seemed like a tornado, with people rushing in to have me sign documents while I was experiencing all of these symptoms, as well as giving different suggestions and interpretations.  For the entirety of my last day in the hospital, I was supposedly waiting to be admitted upstairs and meet with the doctor.

Finally, around 6 pm, we were admitted upstairs and greeted by Nadine for intake. She immediately gave us masks because I was COVID-positive and showed us to the room. We asked when I would be seeing the doctor, and that’s when she had to break the bad news that my doctor had gone home for the day… As you can imagine, we were exceptionally disappointed. She took this reaction in stride and got to work. She called to see if I was cleared for a fluid test and to eat (as I hadn’t consumed food or drink for 24 hours). They didn’t clear me for eating solids until after the kitchen closed. This Nurse went out of her way to track down a meal for me. She was constantly contacting my doctors and other staff to help remedy the situation. She was able to find PA M to give me some interpretation of my scans and whether or not I was required to stay in the hospital another day. M and this nurse worked together with J to get me discharged after realizing I would be staying in the hospital an extra night. I’m very thankful for Nadine being my guardian angel during this difficult time.
