My husband almost didn't get discharged because he couldn't void, and Kathleen was so calm and helpful but wanted him to be safe to be released.
Kathleen was one of the most detailed nurses I've ever encountered. She was kind, helpful, caring, and honest! My husband had two surgeries at this facility, five months apart, and I wished Kathleen was his nurse for both.
There were so many things we didn't know and weren't told the first time that would've been helpful. Kathleen knew we had had surgery recently and still went over each detail to ensure we were informed. My husband almost didn't get discharged because he couldn't void, and Kathleen was so calm and helpful but wanted him to be safe to be released. She went way beyond the call of nursing to try to help him along and she never got frustrated. When he finally got discharged, she brought him to the car to help me get him in safely, and after she heard about our 45-minute drive home plus traffic, she ran back in for a barf bag, just in case. His medications came from the pharmacy and had one in there we didn't care for and she handled that kindly too.
I could go on and on about all that she did yesterday! She was more than a nurse and such a wonderful blessing on a difficult long day for us!!
Thank you, Kathleen!
