Jessica asks everyone if they need help or rather, "How can I help you?" always. Jessica tries to always ask everyone's opinion regarding issues she needs to resolve; I think that's her way of including you; it's her style of leadership, which is very effective. Her leadership is outstanding, in my opinion. I was working with her one weekend, and we were so short that she was the supervisor and took seven patients on the floor. That's with a positive attitude, saying, "We are going to be ok," then smiling. The day went on; everyone worked well together that day and stayed positive. Then, another dilemma: one of the nurses started a drip on her patient; certain drips go to the ICU, but the patient stayed on the floor; Jessica stated we would work together, and we will be ok, which we did; that patient was stable all day. She even helped that nurse to give that patient a bed bath, shampoo her hair and brush it, that's an amazing above and beyond for our nurse.

When Jessica works the floor, her patients love her. She treats them with respect and cares for them the best she can every time. If you ask her for help or, rather, when she has free time, she still asks how she can help. Her critical thinking is good, always humble and ask questions if she's not sure; I think that's her way of including you as a team.

Jessica is the definition of a team player for CMH. She inspires me to be a better RN and is the humblest RN I have ever worked with. Her nursing skills are admirable. She is the DAISY; her smiles are contagious. When she smiles, it's like a breath of fresh air. Her smiles also mean everything will be okay.
