Martha made the delivery of my and my wife’s baby so great. From the moment we got into the delivery room, she would check in on us regularly and was extremely respectful when we were discussing medical treatments. She would lay out all the information for us and never let her own judgment get in the way. In particular, my wife was unsure about an epidural, and Martha, seeing the pain my wife was in, calmly explained the benefits of an epidural but did not even tell us it was a recommendation. After the epidural was in, she told us that she was thankful we got it after seeing the pain my wife was in. This is how medical care should be done. Outline the facts and keep personal judgment out of it. Beyond this, she stayed to help with delivery and even stopped by after the birth to the maternity ward to check in and see how things were going on the next day.
