In those first months, Charmaine was welcoming, really helpful, and always available to help me and ease me when I needed it.
I started to work as SN1 in (5C ward) eight months ago. First time working outside of my country and in an area that was completely new for me (5C Ward). It wasn't an easy start, with a lot to learn and a lot of insecurities. Now I can say that I overcame this tough period, and one of the people I have to thank the most for that is Nurse Leader Honoree, my head nurse.
In those first months, she was welcoming, really helpful, and always available to help me and ease me when I needed it, which was extremely important for me, and I feel so grateful for her. Then, after those first months, I kept witnessing what a great head nurse and leader she is for the 5C ward and team, always managing any kind of situation in the best way possible, always with the right words. As a leader, she is supportive, assertive, kind, enthusiastic, and always looking forward to an organized and successful ward and team. For me, those are some of the aspects that make her the best head nurse I have met so far in my professional life and even before that, as an intern. That being said, I couldn't miss the opportunity of recognizing my head nurse with this nomination.
