We recently received multiple comments about Liam.  The most recent comment was regarding a patient who was awaiting authorization for rehab and was frustrated as she was here for over a week.  I overheard Liam having a long conversation with the patient and her husband; he was truly educating and comforting them regarding their stressors. This patient submitted a “Thank a Team Member” comment: “Excellent nurse, always ready to give excellent care.  Is a cheerful nurse”.

Thank you, Liam, for going above and beyond!  His demeanor and skills are unmatched.  He continued to check on me to make sure I was doing well while my spouse was in the OR for her second (and unexpected) surgery.  He prepared her mentally and physically for a surgery she was nervous to have.  As he was leaving for the day he came in to give me an update, some reassurance that she was OK, standing by in recovery.  Thank you, Liam!

From the moment we met, Liam went above and beyond to pay attention to and take care of all of my needs.  He was very polite and caring.

Liam was a calming presence as soon as he entered the room.  He always answered all of my questions and was very attentive to my pain level and made sure I was comfortable.  When I was having an issue with my catheter, he went out of his way to contact my doctors and form a comprehensive plan for me.  He always did everything with a smile, too!  He never made me feel uncomfortable to say anything!  I truly felt like more than just another patient in the hospital.  I felt looked after and safe!!

Liam was very friendly and made me feel at home.  A good sense of humor is necessary in nursing.  He is pleasant and always on hand for my needs as a patient.  I felt a connection to him.  His partner was also brilliant.  I felt like these two were treating me like family.
