• Patient, kind, and took the time to get to know our family.

• Authentic, funny, and personable.

• Attentive, helpful, and responded in a timely manner.

• Respectful, “Brejea treated my brother as if it was her own brother.”

• “Eased my fears and empowered me to be active in my care, how to communicate with staff, nurses, and doctors.”

• Listened to my concerns about pain medication and helped me find the correct medication that worked without other issues! You made a huge difference in my care.

• Communicated information in a way that was easily understood – even writing it on the whiteboard.

And lastly, almost all the nominations spoke to how amazing you are as a nurse, that you “really care about what you do and who you are caring for.”
