Sabryna has also gone out of her way to detangle matted hair after receiving a patient from the ICU who just didn't have the strength to do it themselves and braid a patient's hair that wasn't even hers.
Over the course of two years, I have been able to witness the care and compassion that Sabryna gives to her patients day in and day out. As a nurse, we are expected to provide the utmost care to our patients and be empathetic to those that we care for. I, for one, have had the pleasure to encounter several instances that she has gone above and beyond for her patients.

To include a few, she has gone out of her way and used her own money to purchase candles and cupcakes for a patient who had MS and got admitted to the hospital on their birthday due to their caregiver being out of town; the patient was deeply moved and brought to tears simply due to the fact of being able to celebrate them and let them know that there are people here who truly care about them as a whole person and not just their illness. She has also gone out of her way to detangle matted hair after receiving a patient from the ICU who just didn't have the strength to do it themselves and braid a patient's hair that wasn't even hers. Just doing things such as that allows the patient to remember that they are human and allow them to get some of their dignity back. There's not a shift that goes by where she doesn't just help her co-workers wherever they need it but even the patients in aspects that at times get overlooked.
