Terri and I work the night shift, and even though it is dark, her light shines bright!
Terri has been the best nurse to work for. I am a CNA at the Brooks Bartram campus, and Terri is such a team player, understanding, and compassionate not only to her patients but to her team! Terri and I have worked together before in the past and when we work together, our to-do list gets done!
Just watching Terri and her caregiving makes me happy to be a part of the Brooks team. She has such wonderful energy that patients seem to really respond to her well. I think that is her best quality, her energy and peacefulness makes people feel seen and heard. I think that is because she really loves what she does. You can just tell she is passionate, and the patients trust her.
Terri and I work the night shift, and even though it is dark, her light shines bright! We were working one night together and it went by so smoothly. Terri and I were on our feet all night helping people transfer to where they needed, changing people, giving baths, etc. And even though we were busy it went by so well because she knows how to work as a team. She let me know where to pick up where she left off if needed. We communicated our needs and asked if we needed help. She was a great help to me that night. It definitely makes a difference working for a nurse who truly cares for her patients and her nurse tech. I am very grateful for the teamwork that she puts in when I work with her. I was thinking to myself, "Man, Terri needs an award or something." Then I thought about the DAISY nominations. She truly is a DAISY Nurse just by the way she holds herself at work, the way she works with others, her caregiving skills, and her knowledge of being a nurse over the years. I am very grateful for her, and I know her patients are too!
