Her knowledge, compassion, and dedication are above and beyond.
Kim has been an RN at Elyria Medical Center for two and a half years on 8 Smythe. She came to Elyria from New York, where she was a DAISY Honoree. Kim is the definition of selfless. She will not reset until every patient and every co-worker on the unit has everything they need. She is always willing to go the extra mile for everyone around her. Her constant smiles and positive energy are infectious. She brightens up every room she walks into and always leaves her patients and families laughing and enjoying the care she provides. She is never afraid to advocate and speak up for her patients and they can rest easy knowing that they are in her care.

I was in the hospital for three days. My wife and I were both impressed with the care and kindness of everyone there. We can't begin to thank all who were involved in my care. The one nurse whom I would like to nominate is Kim. She is a ray of sunshine for sure. She made both of us comfortable. She would go over the notes with us, explaining what was going on, and always came in to tell us what the plan for the day was. If we had any questions we didn't have to wait for an answer - she was on top of it immediately. She would always pop in just to make sure I was doing well or to ask my wife or me if we needed anything at all. She went out of her way to get my wife a comfortable chair with blankets and a pillow. Her knowledge, compassion, and dedication are above and beyond. Once Kim touches your life, you won't forget her. She is an asset to UH and to anyone who is lucky enough to meet her.
