In May, I developed preeclampsia, which caused us to welcome our son into this world three weeks early. We had no idea we would end up in the NICU with a host of problems; jaundice, underdeveloped lungs, and hypoglycemia... We were very fortunate to have Ella and her wealth of knowledge to help guide us through our unexpected stay! Ella was compassionate to me as I was recovering from a c-section and treated my son with extra special care when I wasn't there. Ella answered the plethora of questions I had. She also helped support other nurses without hesitation in emergencies. Ella is calm, collected, and communicative. She not only listens to the concerns of patients but values other nurses, CNAs, NPs, and pediatricians' opinions. The staff worked fluidly and treated each other with the utmost respect, in the most terrifying and intimidating time in our lives Ella made us feel comfortable and safe. Thank you, Ella, for going above and beyond for us and all the other patients; you are a valuable member of the BCH staff!
