Maddy was like family to us. I looked forward to seeing her; she has a great personality, and her knowledge, skills, and intelligence show in her job.
My 77-year-old husband had open heart surgery and was in SICU for 12 days. The first time Maddy introduced herself, I knew my husband was going to get the best card, and Maddy had the knowledge to take care of him. My experience consists of a 47 year ICU RN, I would hire her in a heartbeat.
J was on a roller coaster, and we never knew what to expect. Maddy would reassure me by explaining everything and explaining why this was being done. She worked diligently, helping my husband to be comfortable and me to understand the issue more than once and made sure I understood. She would always say, "Ask me questions." That made me feel I was not bothering her. She works professionally and shows a caring attitude to her patients and me. I was exhausted but knowing Maddy was there gave me a calming effect. Then, one day, my husband’s blood pressure was dropping, and she knew what she needed to do. Another time, he had a pleural effusion, and she called the physician within a couple of hours! Then did a thoracentesis. This helped his oxygen levels, and he was breathing much better. Maddy was like family to us. I looked forward to seeing her; she has a great personality, and her knowledge, skills, and intelligence show in her job. Great job, Maddy!
