Katie had a very tough situation caring for a younger patient a few weeks ago who had an unexpected cardiac arrest that we were unable to resuscitate. The family was distressed by this patient's unexpected passing and Katie went above and beyond to provide her support to the family. Katie provided her knowledge and compassion to this family to facilitate starting their grieving process before the patient left with funeral services. Katie is outstanding to work alongside, and I know that I can always count on her to jump in and help when we have a tough situation. This is one of the many difficult situations that I have personally seen Katie encounter, and her resilience is admirable. Thank you, Katie, for always being a great co-worker and a compassionate nurse.
