Guardian Angel in Scrubs! That is Izzy. She was the first person I spoke to when I found out my mom had been admitted to the hospital and was in the ICU on a ventilator. When I arrived at the hospital for the very first time, Izzy met me in the hallway in front of Mom’s room. Through the small window, I could see my mom lying in the bed, with all the tubes and machines helping her breathe. I collapsed and fell to the floor and Izzy caught me and just hugged me. She stayed right there with me. She assured me they were doing everything they could to help Mom, and she reminded me that it was only day one. From that moment on, I felt confident that my mom was in the hands of an extraordinary medical team. Izzy’s calm and reassuring demeanor provided me with much-needed comfort and stability during a very distressing time in my life. Izzy always carefully and attentively cared for Mom, and she explained everything to us as she did it. Izzy is the best! I’m so happy and grateful that mom had her as a nurse.
