My wife has been in this hospital for almost 2 full weeks now. During this time we have had a wide range of multiple nurses. One day we were lucky and extremely thankful to have Maggie as our nurse. From the very beginning of her shift, Maggie came in to introduce herself, set up expectations and care plans for my wife for the night, and made sure that she felt not only cared for but that she had a true patient advocate working with her. This could not have come at a better time, as my wife was experiencing severe pain again. Due to Maggie's tenacious focus on my wife's care, on top of the five other patients she was caring for, my wife was able to stay on top of her pain medication and rest as much as possible (considering the condition). Maggie has been the absolute gold standard and truly is a real-life walking definition of what it means to not only be an amazing nurse but also a strong patient advocate, a productive employee, a gentle caregiver, and just a good person who aims to make sure people in her care are comfortable and getting the best of what they need to get healthy again. Liberty Hospital would be wise to model their patient care to the standard that Maggie has set forth. Thank you, Maggie.
