We have had the opportunity to get excellent care from RN Kim. She has been taking care of my mom for 3 days now. She is so kind, considerate, and patient. She explains everything to my mom: the meds she is taking, health concerns, and what the doctor’s plan is. She was also there to tell me what the doctor’s plan was when I missed the MD coming in. When I shared concerns about my mom, she took action right away and asked the doctor for a UTI test and other things, like Lasix, to get fluid off her body.

Kim is also a patient of BJC. She has been diagnosed with the same type of breast cancer as my mom and has shared some information with us as to what to expect. My mother is battling a heart condition right now, but the next battle is to take care of cancer.

They couldn’t have given my mom a better nurse for both her health concerns. We are so thankful. She has expressed all the ICARE values that I strive to use every day I’m at work! And when I saw it here, I had to express and nominate her!
