Ms. Hamilton is the kind of person we hope to have on our team in our worst times. She is a consummate professional. Her compassion, knowledge, professionalism, integrity, work ethic, and empathy are second to none. We were so fortunate to have had her for three consecutive day shifts. My brother, W, is a nonverbal special needs adult. Nurse Hamilton prioritizes her patients regardless of their disabilities. She found different ways to communicate successfully and formed a bond with W. Her extra kindness and effort made W feel welcomed. It made all the difference in the world for him. She treated him like family. Each time we had a request or question, she stopped whatever she was doing and ran over to solve the problem. She never said, wait, I'm busy. She never sat behind the nurse's station counter to do her computer entries. Instead, she used a portable computer unit and parked outside her patients' rooms to get to them more expeditiously. She made it a point to regularly check in to see if we were comfortable and if we needed anything. Nurse Hamilton always explained the medications and treatments that were being administered. She made sure that we understood the consent forms we were signing and graciously took the time to explain parts that we did not understand. Thank God Jessie is professional, vigilant, observant, and does not take shortcuts. Jessie Hamilton, RN, is one of the finest care providers we have ever had. She is a brilliant example of the finest in her profession and represents the excellence of Huntington Health / Cedars Sinai. Nurses are Angels, and we were so blessed to have one of the Best caring for W. We are so thankful for JESSIE HAMILTON!!!
