Patty Manocchi is an exemplary educator who applies her knowledge to potential future nurses. She has demonstrated to her students every characteristic of excellent nursing care by setting positive examples, showing compassion for the student body and empathy, to those struggling.
One thing that Patty had said to me as a student with two small boys who have trouble sleeping at night and one who is on the Autism Spectrum, was "What can I do to help you get through this?" It was her words and that fire in her eyes that gave me the energy and the strength to keep going. I saw myself as her patient and I felt so much better with her words! That is what a nurse can do for their patients.
