I wanted to take a moment to recognize Joshua for the hard work and dedication he shows our patients. During rounds, Joshua's patients frequently compliment the care he provides and will go out of their way to express how he made a difference in their stay. 

Recently, Joshua made an impact on a patient that transformed their experience. A patient was dealing with frightening news and was with us for much longer than anticipated. The patient said Joshua’s compassion made a difference in how safe she felt and left an impact on her impression of the quality of care she received. Even when Joshua wasn’t her nurse, she said he took the time to make sure she felt cared for, checking in on her daily to see how her care was going. 

Showing this level of compassion and dedication is unique and represents the quality of care we strive to provide as nurses. Not only do Joshua's patients take the time to recognize him, but other members of the team frequently do, too. One team member said, “I wanted to follow up with you on someone on your unit by the name of Joshua. He is truly a shining star on your team."

Joshua has received so many recognitions from the patients he has taken care of and from those who were not his patients as well. You can tell he leaves a great lasting impression and really enjoys caring like family. Thank you for everything that you do, Joshua!
