Blanca was never a manager in title, but was a leader you looked to for next steps and solutions to problems. She always would track down the root and get to a solution for support in difficult situations.
Blanca is a nurse informaticist supporting federal clients in Oracle Health. Over the past 6 months she has transitioned from a supporting role in Department of Defense (DoD) implementations and projects to a leadership role in the core program team supporting the Indian Health Service. She has transitioned seamlessly.
Blanca is recognized by her peers and colleagues as a go-to asset for any effort. She was requested by name to support the implementation of the MHS GENESIS electronic health record in person at the final DoD implementation site, the joint DoD-VA facility at Lovell Federal Health Center. This was also a pivotal event in the VA's program.
Her peers have shared feedback that highlights the respect and trust that the team has in Blanca as she delivers solutions for our customers:
"Blanca was never a manager in title, but was a leader you looked to for next steps and solutions to problems. She always would track down the root and get to a solution for support in difficult situations."
"Blanca is an amazing Clinical Consultant and a major asset to the Federal team. She works hard to break down silos and barriers to communication between services, which is crucial to the success of any Clinical Project. She's also a major go-getter and made time to meet with the PathNet team on multiple occasions to ensure she fully understood Lab Collections and workflows and could accurately communicate them with her client counterparts. That effort was huge for making sure adoption went smoothly and heading off confusion that could make or break a deployment's success."
Beyond her day to day responsibilities at Oracle, Blanca also makes a point to participate in the broader informatics community. Later this summer she will be participating on a panel themed Bringing Ideas to Life: Health Care Futurists at the Forefront of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Overall, Blanca is a dedicated nurse, recognized by her peers, supervisors and customers alike. She lives and breathes informatics with a focus on mentoring/developing other nurses and improving healthcare.
