Annabelle also communicates well with patients' families and gives them information on patients' conditions with respect, empathy, and compassion.
When I started at CVCU, Annabelle was my preceptor and trained me to be a competent heart nurse. Her attention to detail, critical thinking skills, organizational and time management skills, her being patient advocacy, and ability to reason out to doctors for patient safety and great well-being for her patients are beyond exceptional! She takes responsibilities above and beyond, and she takes time to explain to new nurses the importance of performing nursing duties using quality nursing care and maintaining standards and excellence. You can give her the sickest patients in the unit, and she can be able to handle them and turn them around with good patient outcomes.
She also communicates well with patients' families and gives them information on patients' conditions with respect, empathy, and compassion. She is a team player and a valuable resource, and with her wealth of experience, she gives her time to educate new nurses in the unit and other nurses who need validation in their nursing work. She is a mentor and gives advice and encouragement, especially on a busy day. She maintains her calmness in spite of having a difficult assignment and won't hesitate to help others in need. If my family is in the hospital, I would request her as a nurse because I know my family will get better, will have a good recovery, and will be treated with respect and dignity.
