Alexis Price exemplified excellence and practiced compassion by supporting/comforting a mother after the patient's DI scan was aborted due to respiratory issues. The patient was already inpatient, but once induced for anesthesia, there were respiratory concerns, and the scan was aborted. The patient was transferred to the ICU bed from DI. Alexis fostered hope with the patient's mother by making significant efforts to inform the mother of the situation. Once the patient was transferred to the ICU, Alexis escorted the mother to the ICU waiting room. Alexis stayed with the mother and offered her reassurance and comfort till she could see her child. While staying with the mother during this difficult transition of care, Alexis displayed a celebration for life through offering her emotional support.
