Jazz isn't just a skilled nurse; she's also become a dear friend. During those lonely days in the hospital, she was a constant support, advocating for us both medically and emotionally.
I first met Jazz during Nurse J's training sessions. It was a challenging time; my son was just 1 1/2 months old, intubated, with a wound vac, and undergoing treatment for an infection. That initial meeting marked the beginning of a series of crucial encounters with Jazz, with whom we've had a remarkable bond during L's critical moments. It's almost serendipitous how whenever L needed urgent care, Jazz was there, demonstrating her skills time and again.
On Valentine's Day, I woke up after a particularly difficult night of L struggling, eventually needing CPAP support. I won't deny how scared I was. When I asked about his condition, Jazz was candid yet comforting, letting me know the gravity of the situation. Shortly after, when they decided to intubate L, I stood outside the room, watching anxiously—a scene most parents can't bear but one I couldn't stay away from. After they successfully intubated him, Jazz immediately checked in on me, a small gesture that meant the world during such a tumultuous time. Throughout that challenging day, Jazz remained tirelessly dedicated. Despite her busy schedule conducting multiple tests on L, she kept me informed every step of the way. Her presence outside L's ICU room in the mornings became a source of reassurance for me; seeing her there meant L was receiving the utmost care.
Jazz isn't just a skilled nurse; she's also become a dear friend. During those lonely days in the hospital, she was a constant support, advocating for us both medically and emotionally. She didn't just care for my son; she watched out for me too. Always eager to learn and educate, Jazz exemplifies dedication and compassion in her profession. Her commitment to both her patients and their families goes beyond duty; it's a testament to her remarkable character and the genuine care she brings to her work every day. Thank you Jazz for making some of our hardest days easier!
