Our newborn was transferred to CHKD, and Kendra East has been supportive since the minute he arrived. When Kendra is his Nurse on duty, he truly does better overall with his breathing and his feeding. The love that she has when she cares for our son truly shows in his health. She has answered all our questions with detail and honesty! She truly makes it a little easier to leave him when we have to because we know we are in good hands. If we had it our way, she would be his Nurse every day! On the days that she is not his Nurse, but she is in our pod, she comes and checks on us: the parents and our son! She has done a fantastic job passing on communication to the other Nurses about our son’s care so that he gets the best and most consistent care. She has given us great tips when it comes to feeding and caring for our newborn. The exceptional care and empathy that Kendra has shown us has truly made a difference with our stay in the NICU!
