She made me feel comfortable and developed rapport by having simple conversations.
I have been hospitalized for a week, and I happened to encounter nurse Alyazia during my first 4 days. We are all unique, but Alyazia seems to grasp the concept of the patient's best interest. She initially introduced herself and smiled the widest grin, which was a relief from where I was coming from because I was in so much pain and discomfort. She made me feel comfortable and developed rapport by having simple conversations. Whenever I needed anything, she made sure she comes back eventually; most of all she understood and advocated for me when my IV cannula has been 4 days, they had difficulty reinserting my IV and she asked me if it is ok to try again. When my IV was reinserted, I thanked her for enforcing it to be changed on my behalf even if it would be difficult, she said "so that you could move freely and take a bath properly". It might be shallow, but it meant a lot because she did it in my best interest. Alyazia, at her junior level, has exemplified such conscientiousness, and I know she's the same with all the patients under her care. Keep it up, Alyazia
