Marissa was a wonderful nurse. She helped it feel like we all were friends instead of just a nurse.
I delivered our son, and Marissa was my main nurse while laboring. She went above and beyond to ensure that my husband and I were comfortable and informed throughout the entire process. Her bedside manner is far better than I've ever experienced before. Today, I was back in the hospital for a blood patch, and she was assisting. She made sure I understood the procedure and was comfortable throughout. She was helpful in answering any questions and holding my hand through the procedure, knowing how nervous I was. I've never felt like a nurse cared more about me than I did with Marissa.

Marissa was a wonderful nurse. She helped it feel like we all were friends instead of just a nurse. She did phenomenally with her duties so as not to hurt the patient, provided excellent care and reassurance for her, and was on top of everything. 11/10 if possible. She had fun talking and was very intuitive when it came to her job. She showed she truly cared about how we felt and what we thought and needed.

From the time that I showed up to be induced to the time I got admitted to the maternity side, Marissa was excellent. She treated us so well, and she was on top of everything. She helped me during the epidural process and helped speed up the inducement by using various positions to put me. She was very encouraging and helped calm my nerves. She was very friendly and a great conversationalist. I really enjoyed having her as my nurse, and I'm really glad to have met her!

I went into labor with my first child, and Marissa was my L&D nurse. She had such a calming presence with all of the anxiety and worry I was enduring with laboring. She ensured we would get the baby out safely. She was on top of it. Always coming and turning me, asking if myself or my husband needed anything. She is a wealth of knowledge and was able to answer all of my questions. If she didn't know the answer, she promptly got me an answer from the doctor.

When my baby's heart rate decelerated, she kept me calm and took charge of the situation. She helped keep me motivated in a way that was also very nurturing. Fast forward after having a baby, I got re-admitted to the hospital five days after birthing my child with postpartum pre-eclampsia. The only bright side to being re-admitted to the hospital was having Marissa as my nurse again. While on a 24-hour magnesium infusion, she was a comforting face as I was dealing with so many unknowns. She kept me updated on my labs and my blood pressure and knew exactly how to keep me comfortable while I was feeling so many emotions, hormones, and anxiety. I can't explain how much it meant to me to have her care for me during such a trying time. She went above and beyond with helping me pump/breastfeed, washing my pump parts, helping me fax maternity leave paperwork, teaching me how to bag milk to freeze, holding the baby when needed, asking if I needed drinks/snacks, getting my husband and mom drinks/snacks, the list goes on and on. I cannot say enough great things about Marissa, and she seriously goes above and beyond for her patients. Through such a traumatizing experience with labor and re-admission, she was the one bright light I needed when it came to being treated in the hospital.
