Allyson Hendricks took such kind and compassionate care of my husband and I. She answered every question we had, calmed my nerves, and ultimately after I requested to have her back, was able to help deliver my son. She talked about him by the name we gave him, wrapped and unwrapped him as we asked to see him, and gave us as much time with his little body as we wanted before saying our goodbyes. I told her about the passing of both of my grandparents the month and week before and how hard losing our son was on us. She also learned of my love for Taylor Swift’s music as I would lay in the hospital bed listening to her new album. Ally made my son tiny bracelets (the same type fans exchange at Taylor Swift concerts) with his name and the names of my grandparents on them. I was in ugly tears, and it was such a special gesture. She brought us tiny knitted blankets of all colors to choose from for him and a tiny knitted hat to fit his head. She really, truly has such a special way of taking care of people and giving some happiness in a terribly sad situation. While I never want anyone to go through what we did, I hope that anyone who does has the opportunity to be taken care of by her.
