Words cannot express my gratitude for Renee’s help that night. Her vigilance and intuition to pick up on the fact that something was off and immediately intervene.
I was working my normal shift at Marymount when I began to experience what I now know to be an "aura." My shift was ending, but I couldn't shake how uneasy and "off" I felt. I was confused, anxious, and I mentioned to Renee that I wasn't feeling well. She listened to me and dropped what she was doing to take me to the ICU to check my vitals. Once in ICU, I began to have a tonic-clonic seizure and started to fall. Renee caught me while I was falling, lowered me to the ground, and called a staff assist. I was then taken to the emergency room and admitted to the hospital. Before that night, I had no history of seizures. Words cannot express my gratitude for Renee’s help that night. Her vigilance and intuition to pick up on the fact that something was off and immediately intervene. If not for her, I may have had a seizure alone on my drive home from work or at home alone. I am so grateful that she was looking out for me and did all she could to help me. She has made a meaningful difference in my life, and I believe she’s the reason I am here to tell the story!
