P- Michelle shows passion for nursing and for education. She makes sure that her students truly understand the topics that we talk about in class, and if we don't understand them, she takes that extra step to meet one-on-one to help them out more. Along with this, she provides students with many resources to assist them in excelling in their academics.

E- Michelle always shows empathy towards her students. At times, when I am having good days or bad days, she makes sure that I've been okay. When I first learned that I had testing anxiety, she took that extra step to make sure I was okay and that I could get the resources I needed to excel in this program. She understands the struggles and challenges students face in the nursing program and for students who work and go to school. She has always been understanding of everyone's situation and has shown genuine care. Her ability to connect on a personal level fosters trust and creates a supportive environment for learning!

T- There is a sense of trust conveyed in this nomination. I feel comfortable contacting Michelle for anything and trust her when I tell her things. I know that she will have good intentions in mind! She also cultivates an atmosphere for trust and collaboration when we are in class and that gives students the opportunity to feel valued.

A- I not only see Michelle as an instructor, but also as a mentor. I have expressed interest in looking into Master's programs in the future and she has encouraged me to do so. She said that once it comes to that point that I start applying, start my research, and present at conferences, that she would guide me along the way.

L- Michelle has a strong sense of leadership skills and capabilities. She always informs my classmates and I on ways to further improve our skills within nursing and making sure to provide quality care in mind. Her ability to inspire and empower others has a ripple effect, shaping the future of nursing.

S- Michelle is selfless in how she worked towards her doctoral degree to educate future nurses. When she teaches her class, she shows compassion and demonstrates what should be said or not be said when you are with a patient. Once again, patient comfort is very important, and she keeps that in mind when teaching.
