I wanted to take a moment to share an incredible story of a nurse who truly went above and beyond to ensure the best for her patient. This nurse, whom I had the privilege of witnessing firsthand, demonstrated unwavering dedication and resourcefulness.

The patient was facing a critical situation with a throat mass, and the airway was a major concern. However, when the ENT doctor refused to come see the patient in the hospital due to the lack of appropriate equipment, Pam sprang into action.

Pam tirelessly called every floor in the hospital, determined to find the necessary equipment for the doctor. After numerous phone calls, she succeeded in locating the equipment needed to perform the examination in the hospital. As a result, the patient was promptly seen by the doctor, and it was determined that surgery, including the placement of a trach to protect the airway, was necessary.

Pam’s dedication, persistence and resourcefulness not only ensured that the patient received the care they urgently needed but also exemplified the true spirit of compassionate nursing. Her commitment to going the extra mile, even in the face of challenges, is truly remarkable.
