They held her, played soft music and when she calmed down she just kept thanking them all, saying how wonderful they all were.
A woman came in that I believe had a D&C or something occurred where she lost a baby. She was sobbing uncontrollably, and Amy was her nurse and she just held her for a long time. The patient continued to sob and apologize to everyone but the whole team stood by her consoling her and telling her it was okay not to be okay and that she was safe and doing great from the procedure. They held her, played soft music and when she calmed down she just kept thanking them all, saying how wonderful they all were. I have worked here in the hospital for 15 years and have seen many caring acts of compassion, I myself had that from everyone during my bout with breast cancer. However, I have never filled out one of these but today, I couldn’t find one fast enough to share the experience of love, care and compassion I have witnessed today. It was a common day and among many of our healthcare workers that often times this gets overlooked, but not today! Great job PACU Team, God Bless you all! Amy, thank you especially!
