She made sure to check in on me with genuine concern. I thanked God for her and the compassionate human being that she is. I felt heard and cared for because of her.
This is the second time having this nurse take care of me. She is awesome and amazing. Her bedside manner is phenomenal. I struggle tremendously with chronic pain from both diabetic neuropathy and joint pain from chemotherapy. I was feeling hopeless and drained. I actually told her that I think that the doctor wants me to be discharged and I wasn’t sure if I was up to going home immediately. She told me to be honest about my pain, and if I have to stay another day to feel better about going home, I should tell the doctor when they come around. She made sure to check in on me with genuine concern. I thanked God for her and the compassionate human being that she is. I felt heard and cared for because of her. She also took the time to explain every detail of my care as she performed her duties as a nurse. Even with the huge amount of tasks she had to take care of, she managed to keep her composure enough to provide excellent individual care and attention. She also made herself available to be in the room when doctors would come to the room to visit. She could answer questions about what the doctors meant when they said certain things. All I can say is that she gave me so many reasons to trust this institution with my health and life. I pray that this document serves as a reason to reward her in any and every way possible. I only wish that I could have her as my nurse every single time I have to be admitted to this hospital. My condition requires that I have a procedure that usually lands me in the hospital every three months. Nurse Miranda is an absolute asset to this hospital and I wouldn’t mind writing 10, 20, or even 50 more recognition forms on her behalf.
