I rushed my sister to emergency at Methodist. She had the most wonderful nurse, named Nicholas Devine. He not only is a wonderful nurse, but the best bedside manner I’ve ever seen in a male nurse. My sister is a nervous person, he had a calming demeanor. He made her relax so much. I hope you tell him and give him the praise he deserves.

Nicholas is a nurse who currently works in the Emergency Room and is a colleague and very good friend of mine. My best friend’s mother, who has advanced cognitive impairment, was rushed to the ER. I knew she was in excellent hands there but knowing Nick had her put me at ease. I received a call from my best friend and her family after she had a tough time telling me how amazing he was the whole time. His calm and respectful manner and his significant level of patience and compassion helped make a scary experience better. He embodies every quality of a DAISY Nurse, and he truly deserves this high honor.
