My husband was in great pain and not able to walk or get up, and I was unable to care for him by myself after a stroke I had last year. Amanda Schrader was intuitive and saw that we were scared about what was happening. She explained to us what was going to happen and the usual treatment for the bowels returning to function. She also gave us confidence in her ability to anticipate my husband's needs before he had to ask. The constant checking in on him and helping him gain confidence that he could walk a further distance than he thought he could. She would stop in before she left her shift to be sure we didn't need anything or had questions. She was just the best nurse either of us has experienced in our hospital stays over our 51 years of marriage. We want to make sure that her management knows how she exceeded our expectations with her care.
