I received some devastating news following an MRI and was facing an amputation of my left foot. Needless to say, I was truly heartbroken and at a total loss for words. I cried all day to the point that my eyes were swollen and puffy. I know that nurses should not get overly attached to patients and are expected to show no emotion, but this was not the case with Leonie Moodie-Grant. She came in and talked to me and made me see things in a more positive light. After talking, though I was still sad, I understood and appreciated her taking the time to listen and speak positively to me. The fact that she actually cared meant the world to me. Empathy is something most people lack, but not this nurse. I appreciated her more than you'll ever know. Thanks for all she did for me.
