Shauna Fox has been the flu and RQI champion of NE CBOC. Everyone trusts her for the COVID and Flu shots and coordinates with her in compliance with the required quarterly RQI. Shauna makes sure the equipment is working well and coordinates timely repairs if needed. She makes sure all employees are compliant with the annual flu shots and for those needing Covid vaccine. With her patients, she has some veterans who would request to speak with her directly about their needs, knowing Shauna will provide them with a clear understanding of their needs, and they will be given timely updates. 
She advocates for ensuring the best care is provided to our veterans. Shauna attends to details such as the recent finding of the error in the phone number provided to the veterans related to toxic waste exposure. She communicated to the PACT Coordinator and upper leadership that the phone numbers in the fliers provided to the veterans were incorrect, thereby delaying care and making veterans dissatisfied with the service. She had three patients who took time to honor her by giving her the Challenge Coins; one of the letters was sent and read on the congressional floor. 
She also displays excellence, aside from being the flu, Covid, and RQI champion; Shauna is also the UPL and QE who ensures everyone is updated with their annual competencies in patient safety. She is a QE, precepts new RN and LPN, attended the Women's Health Nursing Mini residency in June, organized a successful blood drive for NE last November, and is organizing another one for February. Ms. Fox is a very hardworking LPN who always goes above and beyond to make sure excellent care is provided to our veterans.
