Jodi goes above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service to every patient she cares for. She not only meets their medical needs but also ensures they feel heard, valued, and respected.
I am honored to nominate Jodi, my infusion nurse, for the DAISY Award. Jodi has consistently demonstrated the highest standards of clinical skill and compassionate care, making her a remarkable role model for patients, their families, and our entire staff. She embodies excellence in nursing through her dedication to customer service, community involvement, advocacy for patients and their families, mentorship, and exceptional nursing care.
Jodi goes above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service to every patient she cares for. She not only meets their medical needs but also ensures they feel heard, valued, and respected. She always makes sure I am well taken care of whether it is water, ice chips, a warm blanket or even just lending an ear.
Beyond her duties within the hospital, Jodi is deeply committed to the community. As a newly diagnosed cancer patient, I signed up for the Komen Walk and Jodi was right there being my cheerleader and friend. Her compassion extends past the infusion center.
Jodi is a tireless advocate for her patients and their families. If I have any complaints while I am receiving treatment, Jodi is the first to see me and offer advice to make sure I am seen/heard by my oncologist. Not only does she pass along my concerns, but she will also follow up next time I see her to assure me I was indeed taken care of.
During my most recent visit, Jodi was educating a senior nursing student and asked if I would allow her to access my port. I agreed and Jodi patiently and calmly talked this student through the process. From keeping a sterile field all the way to disposal. That level of patience was appreciated by both me and the student. She got the port accessed on the first try!
Jodi consistently delivers exceptional nursing care, consistently exceeding my high standards. She demonstrates clinical excellence, attention to detail and a commitment to evidence-based practice in every aspect of her work. Her patients receive not only the best medical care but also the emotional support needed to heal. She is often seen running from room to room with the biggest smile and brightest attitude I've ever seen.
