I brought my 10-year-old daughter in after she was bit by a dog, leaving a significant wound to her thigh. I chose to pass two hospitals closer to my home to bring her to RCMC for care because I knew she would be in the best possible hands, and she was.

Upon our arrival, Maria came into our room and triaged my daughter even though she was not her primary nurse. I know how busy this department is and Maria made the time to make sure my daughter was well taken care of as well as my anxious mama heart! Even though Maria had many tasks to balance she made she my daughter was comforted and sat with her, dried her tears and comforted me as well. Everyone who interacted with us that day was absolutely incredible and went above and beyond to make sure that we received the best care possible.

It has been about a month since my daughter was bitten, and her wound is still healing, but she is on the mend. Maria reached out to me after her shift to make sure my daughter got a happy meal for her bravery. I am so grateful for Copley and everyone who was involved in caring for my daughter. Maria went above and beyond and is a true asset to the department!
