Sofia went above and beyond her responsibilities to care for my daughter. In her down time, she'd come to talk and play with her. She showed her how to crochet and discussed other interests. We were in the hospital for more than a month, and there were days that she came (even when she was not my daughter's nurse) to come and hang out with her. She offered moral support and kindness every step of the way, assuming a role like a big sister would have done for her little sibling. Sofia talked with me privately to offer moral support and cheer me up when I felt scared and worried. Toward the end of our stay, she requested to be her nurse so she could spend time and support her through our difficult journey. Before we left, Sofia even brought my daughter a gift. All the nurses in 3E were nice, but Sofia was ultra special. We want to thank her from the bottom of our hearts.
