Mary "Christy" Hogan’s calm and caring direction and support allowed a family to safely welcome their son to safety during a rather unexpected delivery. While in labor, the dad was driving his wife to the hospital and realized that they were not going to make it before delivery. The dad called the hospital and was coached through a smooth ‘roadside delivery’ by this nurse. While assisting the delivery over the phone, she was able to get 911 dispatched to help. EMS arrived and transported the mom and the baby to the hospital for evaluation and stabilization.
