I have witnessed Julie pitch in and help her coworkers more times than I can count. Whether working in admitting, recovery, or in a procedure room, Julie is the first to help when she sees a need.
While Julie's clinical skills are remarkable and the compassion she shows her patients is marvelous, I am nominating Julie for this award because of her willingness to assist her coworkers in any given situation.
I have witnessed Julie pitch in and help her coworkers more times than I can count. Whether working in admitting, recovery, or in a procedure room, Julie is the first to help when she sees a need. Assigned to recovery, Julie admits patients until she is needed in recovery. Working in recovery, Julie diligently keeps the day flowing, jumping in to settle a coworker's patient when that nurse is otherwise occupied at the time of a patient's arrival. When floating, Julie remains attentive and does not balk at assuming care of a patient when the need arises. Julie will not leave a coworker in a time of need and stays late as needed to ensure patient safety.
Additionally, Julie jumps in to do as much as possible to close the endoscopy unit when the day is running late, and the on-call nurse remains in the procedural area. She puts away the WOWs, locks cabinets, and performs other tasks that will need to be done before the on-call nurse can leave for the day.
It is a blessing to have a co-worker such as Julie. She is someone you can count on for assistance when needed and who has your back if things take a turn.
