The nurse was so comforting, kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. The nurse made our daughter laugh when I never thought that was possible, as she was so sick when she first got admitted.
Our daughter was lucky enough to have this nurse for 3 of her worst days in the hospital. She was a patient for 8 days, her first hospital stay. Our daughter has many fears and phobias in the medical setting. From IV sticks and blood draws to various procedures she had done while an inpatient. The nurse was so comforting, kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. The nurse made our daughter laugh when I never thought that was possible, as she was so sick when she first got admitted.

This amazing nurse followed in and accompanied our daughter to all her off-unit procedures, always giving reassurance and positive reinforcement to our daughter. She spent so much time with her and never made her feel bad or worried. She was always on time with meds and kept us informed and updated throughout her shifts. We looked forward to seeing her every day. On another day when she wasn't assigned to our daughter, she still came by three times to check on her and see how she was feeling.

As a mother and nurse for almost 30 years, I can proudly and gladly nominate this nurse for a DAISY Award. She was not only impressive but kind, patient, and caring. UCLA is lucky to have her, and we are so grateful to have her as our daughter's nurse for 3 of her 8 days in the hospital. She is an exceptional nurse.
