Our 78-year-old grandma was admitted to the ICU following an emergency life-saving surgery. Sierra was my grandmother’s primary nurse and I have never seen such compassion and due diligence. She allowed us to have extra family members during a time of fear. She offered comfort and reassurance while maintaining an excellent level of professionalism. She took care of our grandmother as though she were her own family member. She went out of her way to make sure my grandmother was as comfortable and pain-free as possible. We were so scared, and she passed the bar with offering reassurance and education to make sure we felt heard and good about the next steps. A million “thank you” will never be enough.
