Laurrie has been my nurse in other admissions I have had here before. She's awesome! So caring and always smiling, which at this time around was much needed as I received such sad news about my mom having only six months to live. Laurrie understood. She comforted me. She knew I was in pain two ways, physically and emotionally.

For the physical pain, she made sure I had my pain meds on time. Always on time. One of the days she cared for me was a very emotional day. Just thinking about my mom, I would burst into tears. My blood pressure was sky high, and she would do vitals to check and make sure it was normal. On that day, I felt at my lowest, in comes Laurrie with the cutest flower arrangement and hands it to me! "What?" I said! It made me cry some more, but this time, it calmed my emotional status! As she handed me the flowers, I got the biggest hug, which I really needed at that precise moment. Suddenly, I felt a peace come over me. Laurrie went above and beyond to help me feel better, and I did. The flowers cheered me up, but so did her beautiful smile!
