When dealing with wounds, it is hard to know what to do or how to treat them. Wound Care Center in Burlington, NC was my doctor's choice. A doctor would see me every Wednesday and determine what to do and a quick debridement and tell Vicki, the Nurse, what treatment and material for the covering of the wound quickly and leave. Vicki would have what was to be used laid out and did the covering in a professional manner, making sure I was comfortable as my whole leg and foot were covered, to keep swelling down. She showed knowledge, experience, and compassion. Efficient with time and carefulness. Being cognizant about my comfort and always friendly. It was all new to me, and it turned into a very, very long period of time for these visits. A three-month ordeal before the doctor told me the very last part of the wound was closed. I was weary at the end, but Vicki held onto her outstanding care, helpfulness, kindness, and friendliness to get me through it. I had bandages or wrappings changed two days a week at a clinic. Vicki made sure the necessary material was available.
