She showed patience, caring, and compassion for both of my family members.  She remembered the details of our last visit and was a welcoming face for today's procedure.
She took great care of my dad before surgery. He was very nervous, and she calmed his nerves with humor and great care.

She was a delight to have as my fiancé’s pre-op nurse. She relaxed us both prior to going into surgery, keeping the conversation light and funny while remaining serious when needed. I would not have been as relaxed as I was if she was not our nurse. She is a testament to the program, demonstrating how to keep the patient calm prior to surgical procedures.

She was very professional, polite, caring, compassionate, super nice, and witty.  As a result, my blood pressure went down, and I felt relaxed, comfortable, and confident about the process.  She is a great listener and a person who takes her job seriously!

She was and is an exceptional nurse. Today, I came with my son to have surgery.  I was very excited to see she was the nurse taking us back because I remembered her from a couple of months ago when I came here with my fiancé to have surgery and she was also his nurse.  I meant to do a nomination for her then, but I forgot.  Both times, I have seen her take exceptional care with both my fiancé and now my son.  She showed patience, caring, and compassion for both of my family members.  She remembered the details of our last visit and was a welcoming face for today's procedure.  Today my son was very anxious. He may be an active 16-year-old boy, but his anxiety gets the best of him very easily. I think it made him feel a bit at ease knowing that she had taken care of his stepdad. She recognized his high anxiety and moved quickly to get him something to calm him down.  Once the medication was wearing off, I was about to ask for more and she was right behind me with it already in her hand.  She also talked to my son and not just me which gave him autonomy as the patient being treated. When the operating nurse came in, she was very thorough in her hand off letting him know about his anxiety and that his main worry was about the anesthesia. She also made him aware of his anaphylactic peanut allergy and commented to the new nurse about hoping he didn’t just have peanut butter. Some may take that as a bit of a joke, but I can tell you, as a mom with a child with an anaphylactic allergy, that concern is very real. People do not think about those things.  I greatly appreciate her knowledge, compassion, and bedside manner. I have now seen her take exceptional care of 2 of my family members, who are in 2 very different stages of life. As a nurse myself, I know that not all nurses have the ability to do that.  She deserves to be recognized because she is a perfect example of a nurse who displays ProMedica’s mission and values in her practice.

She made my mom’s hip replacement a more pleasant experience for her thanks to her attentiveness to my mom’s needs, huge caring heart toward my mom, and the conversation and laughter shared! She is a gem, and you are fortunate to have her on your staff!!
